The American Hospital of Paris is the only civilian hospital in Europe accredited by The Joint Commission under its rigorous American standards. The JCAHO is an independent organization that accredits the best hospitals in the United States.

The American Hospital of Paris is also certified in France by the Haute Autorité de Santé.

Recognized as an institution of public benefit, the American Hospital of Paris receives no government subsidies from either France or the United States. Instead, the Hospital relies on the generosity of its private and corporate donors from all nations to offer the most advanced medical technology to the many patients who come each year for their care.

The American Hospital of Paris is a private, not-for-profit Franco-American institution whose mission is to bring together the best in French and American medical practices in Paris.
