As the first step of this complex, a multi-purpose hospital is built on 45000 square meters of land, fully equipped in world standards. The patient rooms are homey, and comfortable with a beautiful sea view. Patient bed capacity is 209. There is an intensive care unit consisting of 59 beds and 8 operating rooms. The parking lot has a capacity to hold 350 vehicles. TESTIMONIALSEtty Rinses-Fastenau When we left Amsterdam Monday evening on the 20th of October we had no idea that our tourist flight to Istanbul would change into a coronary surgery flight. We planned to visit Istanbul for a week: visiting famous buildings like the Aya Sofia and other places of interest, crossing the Bosphorus by the bridges and by ferry and visiting the Grand Bazar. But everything changed when my husband got ill during the flight. After some medical treatment in the plane and at the airport Sabiha Gokcen we arrived by ambulance in the hospital Anadolu Saglik Merkezi. After a while at the first aid and afterwards at the intensive care they succeeded to get the heart rhythm back to normal. Exhausted we had a little sleep at the IC. After two days of examinations we had to make a decision for coronary surgery. Prof. Dr. Ciçek and his surgery team supported us very well in taking this decision. My stay at the hospital was arranged as well. This was very important for me that we could be together in this very difficult period in our life. It would be good if all hospitals would provide this opportunity. Your international services department, in the person of Mrs. Dilek Oz, also was of great value to us. And as to the nurses on the IC: they were extremely kind and helped us so much! If you are far away from home these aspects are of utmost importance. On Thursday my husband had his operation and they really did a wonderful job. I got a lot of support during this difficult day. After a few more days at the IC my husband and I could stay in the same room. It really felt like a stay in a 5-star-hotel! The last days we enjoyed the Turkish sun sitting on the terrace in the garden. The day we left was less pleasant. Some insurance person took much time to verify all the financial aspects and we became afraid to miss our plane. Fortunately Mrs. Dilek Oz remained calm and persistent! So far so good, we're home again. We did not see Istanbul, but from the windows in the hospital we had a splendid view at the Sea of Marmara, we met a wonderful team, made new friends and surely we'll come back to Istanbul in good health next year.
