    DESCRIPTION

Both of our hospitals offer a caring and supportive environment. They both also offer the highest standards of clinical care through over 100 credentialed specialists, our highly qualified, skilled and dedicated staff and modern technology.

With over 100 surgeons, physicians and anaesthetists credentialed to work at Braemar Hospitals and 8 Operating Theatres we are one of the largest private hospitals in the country.

Braemar Hospital has Certification under the Health and Disability Sector Standards (Safety) Act for a full three year period.

Braemar Day Hospital was the first hospital in New Zealand to gain certification under the new Day-stay surgery and procedures Standard (NZS 8164:2005), also for a full three year period.

In 1970 Braemar Hospital Ltd resolved to transfer to the Braemar Hospital Charitable trust all of the assets of the company on the condition that the hospital operate as a charitable trust.
