Elliot R. Goodman, MD, has established practices in both the United Kingdom and the United States.

In the UK, Dr. Goodman performs his surgical procedures at the Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital located right in the centre of leeds. His office is located at the Nuffield Hospital Leeds (2 Leighton Street, Leeds LS1 3EB tel. 0800 0988 435).

Dr. Elliot R. Goodman was born in England and received his undergraduate and medical school education at Cambridge University. He moved to the USA in 1990 and trained in general surgery at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY from 1990 to 1996.

He spent two years as a research fellow at Columbia University working with Mark Hardy, MD, in the field of cellular transplantation and immunology. During his fellowship, he presented his findings at various national and international meetings and published his work in many peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Goodman joined the medical staff of Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City in early 2004, becoming Chief of Bariatric Surgery in 2007. Before this, he was Chief of Bariatric Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. He is currently on the surgical faculty of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. From 1997 to 1999, he was on the faculty of the New Jersey Medical School and was the co-director of the University Institute for the Surgery of Morbid Obesity in Newark, NJ. Dr Goodman is an active member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery.

Over the last few years, Dr. Goodman has developed an interest in new techniques of incision free endoluminal upper GI surgery. He has published and presented in the USA and the UK at several meetings on the topic of endoluminal gastric bypass revision surgery.
