In 1992, India's first Nidek Phaco-Emulsification cataract removal machine (Japan) was installed in the Eye-care Hospital and it introduced Phaco-emulsification in the country. In 1993 Storz - Venturi System - machine (USA) was installed. With both these machines it is possible to deal with any type of Cataract.
