    DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Mercy Hospital Dunedin, Otago’s private surgical Hospital. Mercy Hospital offers a caring and supportive environment served by professional, highly skilled and dedicated staff. We aim to make your stay as pleasant as possible in a tranquil and supportive environment. We are proud of our hospital and the delivery of world-class care and support offered to our patients.

The Philosophy of Mercy Hospital is to maintain Christian values, where the uniqueness and dignity of every person is respected. Located in the grounds and adjoining Mercy Hospital is the Marinoto Clinic. This facility was opened in 1990 and offers an extensive range of medical and surgical services within the location. The present number of consulting suites at the Marinoto Clinic is 22, with over 50 specialists working at the facility.

The clinic was named after the gracious old home still standing in the grounds of the original property. This beautiful building is known today as Marinoto House. "Marinoto" meaning House of Peace.

The spirit of Mercy lives on and the Mercy values are integrated into the healing mission of the Sisters. Their philosophy is expressed in their concern and respect for the dignity and rights of all people irrespective of age, race, nationality or religious belief. The staff respect these values and help to maintain an atmosphere which creates a happy, peaceful and welcoming environment for all.
