SurgeryPlanet is committed to providing accurate, balanced, and useful information about medical tourism. This policy describes how we create, review, and maintain our content.

  • Balance: We present benefits and risks. Content about procedures includes safety warnings, potential complications, and realistic expectations
  • Clarity: Content is written in clear, accessible language. Medical terms are explained
  • Transparency: Content sources, limitations, and disclaimers are clearly stated. We distinguish between factual information and general guidance
  • No outcome guarantees: We do not promise or guarantee specific surgical outcomes. Recovery timelines always include "varies by patient" language

2. Medical Content Review

Content containing clinical, procedural, or treatment information is reviewed by qualified medical reviewers. See our Medical Review Process for details on reviewer qualifications and review criteria.

3. Sourcing Standards

Content is informed by: peer-reviewed medical literature, established clinical practice guidelines, authoritative healthcare organizations (WHO, CDC, JCI, etc.), and verified data from partner hospitals and healthcare providers. We do not cite anonymous sources, patient testimonials as medical evidence, or non-authoritative websites as clinical sources.

4. Regular Updates

Content is periodically reviewed and updated. Each page displays its last-updated date. Medical content is prioritized for review based on: how frequently the underlying medical knowledge changes, how many patients view the content, and whether new evidence or guidelines have emerged.

5. Corrections

6. Advertising Separation
